An Update From Us

An Update From Us

It has been a while since I last gave an update on where we are.

As we enter the final discussions over our name and, without the resources of some of our competitors, we have decided to focus on building the next version of our website and choosing a new name that does not upset anyone.

We are not going anywhere and while we knew it was never going to be easy competing in online livestock/ machinery sales, we honestly did not expect the level of support we have had from so many people in the industry, so thank you.

No matter where we land with our name and new site, we will still have no ads, no news, just sales.

Watch this space….it will happen quicker than you think (and as always if you have any questions feel free to give me a shout)

Cheers

General Information

General Help - On The Box

How long does an auction run for?

The total running time for listings can be anywhere from 1 to 7 days. As each lot on the platform is listed at a different time, it is important to check the details on each lot you are interested in to determine the finish time for the auction. Live auctions will have a countdown in the bidding section, as well as the finish date and time within the assessment.

How to find results of older listings.

On The Box regularly hides older listings from public view to ensure a better user experience. If you are after results of a listing and are unable to find it online, please email info@onthebox.com.au or call 1300 092 991 and our team will be able to find them for you.

How to 'watch' for new listings.

To be notified when a new listing is posted simply:

  1. Navigate to and open the auction category you want to be alerted to (cattle, sheep and/or machinery).
  2. At the top right of the screen (or top middle if you are on mobile), you will see a ‘Watch’ button.
  3. Click on this button and choose to receive notifications via emails and/or alerts. Note: emails will come through immediately after a listing is posted and alerts will prompt you on the On The Box website next time you visit.
  4. Once you have selected how to be notified, click the green 'Watch' button.

How to manage your notifications.

Managing your notification preferences is easy via your profile, all you have to do is login and head to your preferences page. From here you will be able to manage what emails and notifications you receive.

To receive an email or alert every time a new listing is posted you will need to manage that within your 'watched auctions'.
