An Update From Us

It has been a while since I last gave an update on where we are.

As we enter the final discussions over our name and, without the resources of some of our competitors, we have decided to focus on building the next version of our website and choosing a new name that does not upset anyone.

We are not going anywhere and while we knew it was never going to be easy competing in online livestock/ machinery sales, we honestly did not expect the level of support we have had from so many people in the industry, so thank you.

No matter where we land with our name and new site, we will still have no ads, no news, just sales.

Twenty years ago, Bill Lawson and Terry McDonald bought an established livestock agency in Mudgee. Bill supplied the partnership with the local knowledge that came with being born and bred in the Mudgee region, and Terry brought nearly thirty years of experience in the agency business. Since then, Terry has added half those years again to his career, and McDonald Lawson Pty Limited has become one of the most respected names in local livestock.

In April 2014, Steve Rose joined the team opening a McDonald Lawson branch in the beautiful town of Rylstone. Steve has resided in Rylstone for over 18 years and has brought to the business an abundance of local knowledge and clientele who both trust and respect him. Steve also brings with him over 10 years of rural sales and auctioneering experience, expanding the diversity of the McDonald Lawson team yet again. Steve continually goes above and beyond the call of duty to ensure his clients get the service they deserve. Steve continues to focus on livestock marketing, selling through both the saleyards and online, paddock sales, over the hook sales, organising both store and fat sales, as well as maintaining his interest in rural property and clearing sales.

All McDonald Lawson staff assist farmers in keeping up with the ever-changing technology in cattle identification by selling NLIS buttons and assisting clients with transfer requirements. Our sales team have many years of experience and are continually further developing knowledge to give them the edge in marketing. McDonald Lawson strives to be a compact and quality personalised service allowing their clientele to deal firstly and foremost with local people who know and understand the local market.

The McDonald Lawson name and brand is highly regarded throughout NSW and is a name you can trust.
